I actually have a question about your series “The Story of the World”. Why is the no reference to Native American Civilizations in the first book? They were certainly here at the time.

Lisa, it’s a good question. In both the Story of the World series and the HIstory of the World series for adults, I tried to start with each part of the world at the time when written records began to be kept. My training is in literature and traditional history, not in anthropology or archaeology, so that was what I felt qualified to do.
